That's only because I've already done the freaking out about it several times before. That, and I already decided not to run Lakefront. I would be a basket case if another injury ruined another marathon.

You're such an adult about the situation. I'd be writing my will or something right now. But you'll heal quickly since you're being smart about it. Good thing you signed up for that swim class too! Time in the pool with help.

I needed to get a referral from my PCP. As a friend said to me, if insurance will cover it, why not? You need the treatment, or at least a proper diagnosis of your problem. I still pay $20 co-pay. Good luck.

I've had a hamstring problem most of the summer. I got it from doing too much hill work after slacking off for three weeks. Not a good idea.
I first noticed it when I was driving home from work the Monday after my 2nd hill routine. The pain shooting down my leg was unbelievable!
It never really bother me while running, but sitting in my car for more than 20 minutes was unbearable.
I've been in PT for about 2 months now. Between that and the exercises they gave me, i'm improving. If your insurance will cover PT, go for it.
